Really for me 15% worked, perhaps they changed it.

Would this be ok for PS4 1080P gaming and spreadsheets? That’s about all I’d use it for.

Yes on both counts. However, you will notice some slight pixelation on cell content in Excel.

Seems like a waste though as you'll only get 1080p60 from your PS4. Why not go cheaper and get a standard 27" IPS 60Hz 1080p panel. Keep life simple.

Where can I get a cheap 27" IPS 60Hz 1080p gaming monitor? Preferably not LG as I had 2 in the past and they both died on me.

Haha...pretty interesting fellow indeed...but it was this persistence/stubbornness of his that got him the positive result in the end.

... Although, I'm a little surprised you went against what everyone advised ,op. You've got balls and absolutely crazy at the same time to do this.

Staples often have 27" IPS monitors on clearance when you go in store.

It requires a little sleuthing online and in-store, but you'll find a decent deal somewhere.

It doesn't officially support Gsync or it would be $400+, if you do get it to work like most monitors that failed the compatibly test it's probably not very good and will have issues

I thought you can now run Gsync on all Freesync monitors?

The link does not go to the monitor, so if you're talking about the D2719HGF it shows 246.39 for me.
Would be nicer at 2k though, 1080p is kind of old tech.
