[Dell] Dell Days of Deals, Day 1: GREENnet 8-Port Switch $25, Vostro 1014 Basic Laptop $299

As first pointed out by donye (thanks!), Dell will be kicking off a Days of Deals event on Tuesday, May 25. It'll be a Dell Small Business Days of Deals this time around, which means you might expect a bit more of a business focus and for associated systems to be from the business lines (like Vostro and Latitude). The event will run from May 25 to June 4.

Here's how these promotions work if you're not familiar with them: a new selection of offers appear each day and items are available for one-day only. Each day's offers go live at approximately 6AM eastern time and hot items can sell out, so it's a good idea to check in early. We'll have an official thread each day to keep things neat and tidy. Day 1 Offers are live!

Day 1 Items Day 1 Systems Shipping is free for all items.

The hot ones today are definitely the Trendnet GREENnet switch and the $299 Vostro 1014 laptop! $24.99 is the lowest price we've ever seen for the GREENnet switch -- it's always a huge seller when it's on sale for $29.99. If you need a deal on a basic laptop, you're going to be hardpressed to do better than $299 for a brand new 14" laptop (which, among other things, packs a webcam and Wireless N). This is the same system as the $299 Vostro 1015 from not too long ago, except in a 14" form factor.

+1, lowest price ever.

- Vostro 1014, is the same price of the 1015 couple of weeks ago (some were actually looking for the 1014 at that time due to the smaller screen size), all the hardware is Win 7 (32/64) compatible though you might want to consider RAM upgrade.

- The P2210 is not hard coated like the 23" inches from early April (at $189), not 1080p but has the premium panel 3 year warranty (dead pixel exchange).

Doesn't seem like it's that bad of a price for the SSD.

It is the V+ version, $207.99 at CanadaComputers, $179.99 at Newegg.ca, but out of stock and $189.99 at Newegg.com.

Obviously not the best brand, but for the price, it's not that bad.

$299 for the laptop is sweet... just get a copy of Windows and you are all set!

This is Netbook pricing on a Notebook.

If you're planning to use it for a home theatre, this is not the projector for you. 1024x768, which means it's less than 720p, and is oldskool 4:3. A lack of connections (no HDMI, component video) means this is purely meant to be hooked up to a computer.

A decent price for a office projector, but very little else.
