i am also interested in a new laptop, but i'm not understanding the value of a touch screen. not sure when u would use it. I can only see the value in it, if you are able to convert the laptop to a tablet. otherwise, when would u use the touch screenalli wrote: ↑I am also interested in this Insprion 14 R but I thing the Latitude 3330 Laptop (13.3", i3-3217U, Win 7 pro, 4gb, 320gb) $479 (from the business line) may be a better buy.
It is better built (from the Latitude line) and 1lb lighter. The downsize is only 320gb vs 500gb and no touch screen (since it is win7). But most people like win 7 better than win8. I also heard that Microsoft my offer free upgrade from win7 to win 8.

Any thoughts on using the Dell Venue 7 as an in-car GPS?

I am looking for desktop pc.
What do you guys think about OptiPlex 7010 Desktop for $659. Specs look okay, though not that great.
3rd Generation Intel® Core™ i5-3470 processor (Quad Core, 3.20GHz, 6MB w/HD2500 Graphics
4GB7 DDR3 SDRAM at 1600MHz
500GB 3.5" SATA 6Gb/s with 16MB DataBurst Cache™
In customization, I see Wireless - none. and have to add one for $50. Does this mean, there is no wi-fi in this by default?
Thanks.

I don't know exact specs (I can't seem to bring up the pc deals, just redirects me to the electronics). Also searching their website for optiplex 7010 doesn't show anything...nashinfo wrote: ↑I am looking for desktop pc.

Is it just the desktop tower?
$659 (before tax) for quad core+4gb ram+500gb hdd and that is it? I assume optical (DVD) included, but those are only $20.
Must be something else included (monitor?), as that seems too high of price to me.
You can get usb wifi for $20.
I have 1 of these in use TP-Link TL-WN722N, and have 2 others still in their original boxes.

Strange that the 17" is $300 less then 15" with almost the same specs. In fact the 17" is 4th gen i5 compared to the 15" 3rd gen i5.
Even stranger is that the 15" non-deal price was $1767. WTF?!
