Dell Deal of the Day Sony ICFCD814W Clock Radio

Sony ICFCD814W CD/MP3 Clock Radio - $39

This a deal of the day about week or two ago. Did anyone purchase this?

I purchased one and received ICFCD814 instead of a ICFCD814W. The reason I noticed this is that mine doesn't have a digital tuner or a nap timer but the description on the dell site at

says there is. Upon further reading of the description (I only noticed this afterwards) is that the description mentions the digital tuner first but further down describes a analog tuner...

I contacted Dell and they sent me an exchange, but the item I got was exactly the same as the one I originally received..... so I contacted Dell again, and they say they will be looking it to and it could be likely a mistake in the description on the website.

I'm just wondering if anyone else ordered this and what did they actually get? I was hoping for the digital tuner and nap timer...

I purchase one also and will be calling Dell tomorrow, To try and correct this error.

I had the same thing happen. I'm actually on hold waiting while a rep tries to find out what is going on... (figured I'd google the part number while I waited)

kinda expensive for a clock radio
To listen to music I'd use computer with speakers, or players like iPod with good earphones. I suppose this is just a big mp3 player?

Well, they couldn't figure out what the problem was so I'm just going to send it back for a refund. Too bad - it would have been exactly what I was looking for!
