i don't know how to install some game on this laptop since it comes only 256G ssd, i would prefer 128G ssd + 1TB HD, but nice found 1050ti is not bad and close to 1060 3G performance

Hey now -- that was a meme here on RFD before there were memes, period. :D

Waiting on price error, typing this on Latitude D620 from the famous overnight web staff asleep at the switch deal from probably 2008. I say that as an estimate because there is a "Dwight Schrute For President 2008" sticker on it, lol

Make sure the panels are ips and not TN. I've talked to 3 chat reps and all of them said it was TN, only the highest model in the Inspiron gaming line up has an ips display.

This deal doesn't compare to the Lenovo deals at all. TN panel first of all and you know there's added cost because of that 1-year McAfee subscription.

TN vs IPS, is very minute difference unless ur viewing the laptop screen from weird angles and TN's have higher refresh rate, this shouldn't be a problem in case of laptops and McAfee is already included in the price no additional cost for it~ not as great as Lenovo deals on many but some are decent :)

I don't agree.

I care more about clarity, resolution, colour rendering, off-angle viewing and less about latency (I don't game).

Every screen that I've regretted has been TN. Perhaps some TN have been good enough that I didn't know (seems unlikely). Certainly some TN are better than others.

There are several variants of IPS, some better and some less expensive. And then there are various VA types. I've seen a claim that my desktop's panel is S-MVA and I find it quite reasonable (Seiki se39uy04).

As far as I know, all but the cheapest tablets and phones use IPS (excluding OLED -- I don't know about it). Those screens are nicer than most laptop screens.

Once upon a time many years ago, Dell used a teaser image for their Days of Deals promo with silhouettes of the upcoming products. The one in the middle was thought to be a sewing machine, giving birth to endless inside jokes and dank memes for years to come

Not sure if appropriate to post this here, but definitely related. Once my Y720 arrives I'll be selling my 7000 gaming for the same price I paid for the Y720 ~$1115. It's i7 not i5, has the 1050ti, 8gb ram, 1tb HDD. Basically new, hasn't left the house. Have all the packaging.

My Y720 is expected Friday and then I'll be listing it on here, Kijiji, and eBay. Let me know if any RfDers want first dibs.
