[Dell] Dell G3 15 Laptop GTX 1050 Ti 512gb NVMe SSD 16gb RAM $1350 - 135 cash back

On sale at Dell.ca for $1449 (200 off)
With coupon, turns out to be 1349 ($100OFF$1300PC)
With ebates cash back (135) turns the purchase to a pre-tax price of $1230 after cash back
Can get a bigger discount if you can use UNiDAYS

New i7-8750H Processor
16GB RAM
512GB NVMe PCIe SSD
GTX 1050 Ti 4GB

I've been looking for something that has a good combination of SSD, 16GB RAM, and a decent graphics card (as well as lighter and a decent battery life).
This seems to be the closest thing to check all boxes, and at the best price for the config I've seen

1060 and you'd have my interest.

Respect the initiative though.

I would have preferred that too, and willing to pay a bit more for it, but it seems like portability, battery performance, 16GB RAM, SSD, and powerful CPU, along with GTX1060 doesn't come along at a compelling price often. Closest thing I've seen is MSI laptops, but they're still decently pricier than this and have horrible battery performance and bulky and heavy power bricks

There is no way the heating solution of G3 will manage 8750H and 1060MQ. Forget about it. I am waiting for my G7 with 8750H and 1050ti to see how it manage before I thinking about changing to 1060MQ.

Dumb question but how is the battery life of the G3 compared to say Inspiron with U type low voltage processor?

You can’t combine the coupons unfortunately. Unidays at 10% is a better discount to use.

Last time I call Dell they won't honor unidays for G series laptops. Shame.

I'll get to each PM when I do, I can only generate 1 code every hour, so it'll take me a while to get through all of them.

Cooling is great, with the cost of fan, **** fan noise. Goes up to 75db.
