[Dell] Dell Inspiron 11 3000 $216

Seems like a good deal on a budget laptop with good reviews except for the screen brightness.

$219 ($318-$99 until Aug. 25), plus tax, minus 15% ebates = 216.15

Includes 1 year in-home warranty.

TBH buying a refurb laptop is probably lot more enjoyable. It's not a bad deal but it's really bottom of the bottom stuff.

I ordered this a couple weeks back and had to send it back because of a weird reboot issue (couldn't stay booted for longer than 30 mins).

Just some anectdotal experience, I would stay clear.

How hard would it be to upgrade the ram or swap the drive?
Not upgradeable as far as I can tell.

Free Windows 10 Brah! No Seriously, that's why Microsoft does not charge OEMs for Windows 10 on low end devices.

Though I think for 2017 they did relax the requirement to 4GB (previously it was 2GB or less for free windows) but I'm sure OEMs aren't in any rush to beef up the specs.

I have one of these and I would not really recommend getting one to be honest.

The Celeron N3060 is not at all well equipped for a full laptop like this. You shouldn't even get it for your grandparents to be honest (they might have all the time in the world, but how much time do they really have?).

With a PassMark of just 991, its performance is with that of CPUs from 8-10 years ago.

The 4GB version usually goes on sale for $250 so just wait for that.

I had the 14 inch version of this for a couple trips last winter. It had a 4 gig ram stick I swapped in and performance was just acceptable. It would be painful to use every day however. I ended up flipping mine for a small profit after the trip.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll pass and wait for a better deal on a 4gb.

The 2 in 1 is on for 279 with 4gb, what are the chances it will go lower?

I had to return a Dell laptop a few weeks ago too. They just have poor quality control.
