I bought this combo for nieces months ago, they don't like it.

Buy something better.

What didn't they like? I am thinking of buying one to control a windows media box.

Our president decided to buya couple of them (7-8 units I'd say), well KM632 and not 636, a couple of years ago because they were really cheap.
Just saying, they all failed. Maybe that newer generation is better, who knows.

That was a sign for me to not buy these cheap Dell wireless combo.

What would you recommend that's better for $20?

I have this. Good for occasional use or for people who don't type a lot. If you do a lot of writing or coding however, you might want to look into a better keyboard.

No complains for the mouse. Good basic mouse. And the one receiver for both is a good thing.

you mean French, right? no matter what fake names they want to call it, bilingual, multi-lingual, Canadian, etc. it's still officially a "French Canadian" keyboard part.

the base alphabetic letters just happen to be the same in French and English.
RFD requires that each RFD nitwit DOWNVOTE every single post of mine, as I can no longer participate and have quite obviously been made a target for abuse by dateless simpletons.

noticeable input lag on these and poor range. Would only recommend for a very casual, basic user...
