Is this Dell Quad-Core a good deal?
Dell has this desktop on sale for $624. I'm mostly going to use this as a HTPC after putting in a video card with HDMI support. I know it's a little strong for a HTPC but I might aswell for longevity purposes. Any comments would be great.

If it's indeed $624, it's a hot deal ...

Ya, I see that they've added a 24" monitor to it now too. Previously it was just the desktop. You think they would still give me the same price as before as I dont need the monitor?

yeah if its $624 WITH the monitor. I'd buy it too
still not too bad even without the monitor for $624
"Windows 7 Upgrade Eligible" is a nice addition.
Too bad they still use "DDR2 at 800MHz" and there is no upgrade option for it either.
Dell 19 in 1 Media Card Reader [add $25] is always a good addition to use for uploading pics etc. I order it every time i get a Dell PC (for friends, family etc)

No, it's not a good deal. It's only worth about $950 in parts including the O/S. It needs to be $50 cheaper to be considered even warm.
