I believe it is always near this price. Keep your eyes open to any laptops from Staples, they have crazy deals.

A few weeks ago a decent Toshiba 15.6" Win 8 laptop was going for $104, but I missed it.

Awesome, thanks - been in the market for a good (cheap) refurb laptop. Anyone used this one or similar? Can recommend?

Is the dimension information accurate? 6.27 lb for a 14" laptop is pretty heavy.

These Latitudes are well-built IMHO. Easy to upgrade ram and HDD. Has USB 3.0 and spare parts are easy to find.

I do agree.
If you plan to upgrade it .. with an SSD drive and 8gb of ram. It will be a good laptop.

Here's a similar deal $40 cheaper:

Review

HP 14" EliteBook 8470p Intel Core i5-3320M - 4GB RAM - 500GB HDD

Marginaly bigger Hard Drive 500 GB vs 320GB

No HDMI but a display port which can easily be adapted into an HDMI port with an adapter.

No Webcam but if you don't care...

I have the E6430S which is the slimmer version that I bought from dellrefurb over 1.5 yrs ago. Its running great. Swapped out the HDD to SSD and put in another 8GB RAM and it flies. I upgraded from a Dell Inspiron 1545 and definitely noticed a difference in speed.

its over 5 years old - but its still a good deal for what you pay. you can easily upgrade ram and add an ssd but that would double the price of this laptop. if you browse the web and use it for basic home use this is good value.

Good specs but not a good deal for refurb. Battery is a question mark that's 100 bucks for a non exploding genuine replacement.

These are a thick chunky laptop but the plastic parts can break easily around the corners. As another person mentioned 5 plus years old now, I think I had one of these 2 laptops ago at work.

1 year warranty is a plus. If you don't need ultra portability and can spring another $100 for a small ssd and another 4gb of ram it's a decent unit.

Imho the back to school deals on new units will probably be worth looking at instead.
