Agreed, I cannot find another i7 17" with the same features (backlit keyboard, finger reader, 6cell batt, etc) for such a low price. I ordered one and will be upgrading the RAM and HDD to an SDD so I don't care about those listed features. Sweet deal w/ the -$100 coupon (hoping Dell does not reneg like they did recently on another laptop price error).

The $629 is a good price, ***BUT***, after reading all reviews on Dell's own site, there are a number of very negative reviews, mentioning that this new line of vostros are just a rebranded Dell consumer lines, and feel very cheap and flimsy. Also, the trackpad is mentioned as very bad many times. Any owners out there - any feedback would be greatly appreciated

8Gb ... per the tech sheet. (NOTE: I have 16Gb in my XPS17 and it claimed 8Gb max too - best to check online in forums to see if anyone was successful with >8Gb, if that is your intent).

Also - it only has one HDD slot. If anyone wants two HDD in this, then you'll have to remove the optical drive and put in a caddy.
