Nov 26th, 2012 10:11 PM #36You could try. The way to tell if your order goes through properly is if you get two emails. One is an acknowledgement email, the other is a confirmation with order number. If you get that second order, your order is fine.

So, after talking to Dell and Paypal via phone and email, it seems Dell is having issues with Paypal and a lot are getting declined on their end for no reason - Paypal confirms it is fine and Dell's system is just not accepting the $$$. Below is what the Dell rep sent me to confirm his system is declining it. Paypal just shows as pending for me (due to them not accepting the money). Glad it is a small purchase. I'd be pissed not getting the paypal cashback on a big purchase.

Ordered surge protector via RFD cashback link and paypal. Got "acknowledged" and "confirmed" emails from Dell. I suppose it went through then.
Now I'm wondering if I actually need it: ordered largely just to test the reported problem with payment._______________
