[Dell] UltraSharp 24 - U2412M - 16:10 IPS - $269.99 ($170 off)

There seemed like there was a bit of interest in this previous deal (expired) which had this monitor on for $159.99 (off-lease).

Just saw that Dell currently has the U2412M monitor (16:10, IPS) on sale for $269.99 ($170 off) in case anyone was still in the market but wasn't able to get in on the off-lease deal before it went OOS.

I am no expert but 16:10 is a more useful format for productivity, It is IPS and has a USB hub. All good things

If you want 16:10 and/or the adjustable stand, this is still a worthwhile purchase, but if 16:9 and a non-adjustable stand are OK for you then you can find 144Hz panels around this price, or IPS monitors for less than this. I bought one of these for $265 in January 2012, I find it incredible that the same model has been on sale for almost 4 years and I've never seen them drop below $250 new, so there must still be lots of demand for the U2412.

I think it's better to get a 27" 16:9 1440p than a 24" 16:10 1200p.

That's what I'm waiting for the U2715HM. Hopefully it'll be under $500.

I have two of these in a dual monitor setup.

They are awesome. No problems with gaming either.

if only it was the 2415 (replacement for the 2412), has the thin/borderless that the 2414H has.

This is a decent monitor for the price, but it's also a bit outdated. It uses an older panel with a somewhat grainy AG coating. The U2412M has been available since 2012 and has been on sale for as low as $239, which is when I bought one of mine a couple years ago.

I've owned two of them and and have been fairly pleased, although I sold one a while ago. If I was in the market for a 24" IPS panel today, however, I'd look elsewhere.

Almost 4 years old model, no HDMI in this day and age. Warm deal at best, IMHO.

Costco have the LG 24MP56HQ IPS 1920x1080 with VESA mount but no USB hub or adjustable stand for $160, is it any good?

I have this monitor for couple of years now and I still regret that it does not have HDMI and it has been a hassle to me to use convertor.
