Dell XPS 15 or Lenovo P51

Currently looking at the following 2 laptops and looking for some recommendations.......currently leaning towards the Dell XPS 15 because of the higher end GPU and more RAM while still being cheaper. This will mainly be used as a mobile worstation to run 2d Autocad, revit, sketch up, and photoshop........the majority of all my work is still in 2d autocad which could run on any laptop but I will eventually make the full switch to Revit. I currently run everything on a 2012 macbook pro non-retina (i7, 16gb ram, gt 650m, 512gb ssd) through parallels and everything runs perfectly fine minus the odd crash running sketch up pro. Below are the current setups i'm looking at.....

Dell XPS 15
3840x2160 4k screen
32gb 2400mhz ddr4
512gb pcie ssd
1050 gpu 4gb

$2006 + tax after all discounts

Lenovo P51
3840x2160 ips matte
16gb 2400mhz ddr4
nvidia quadro m1200 4gb
1tb pcie ssd + 500gb hdd

2039 + tax after epp discounts

The XPS essentially has more RAM and a better GPU while the P51 has more storage, however, almost all of my work is on a Samsung external ssd and saved to the cloud. Should I even upgrade now or just run my macbook into the ground? lol Thing is I can currently get around 1000-1200k for my macbook still.

If your Macbook came out prior to the significant updates in 2016 and you can get $1,000+ for it, I'd sell it.

I'm in a similar position on pulling the trigger for a new laptop. Out of the two listed, I'd go with the Dell. Most of the reviews are very positive and it has the best screen in the business and I personally love their use of carbon fibre and the feel of the machine. Also, their warranty and customer service are better than Lenovo. This is not a knock on Lenovo though. They make some great computers.

If you already have and external hard drive, the 512gb of space is plenty.
