Picked up a optiplex 9020 AIO i5 yesterday morning

Was eyeing it the last 3 sales, but last sale sold out the i5 too quickly before I could buy.

So got it right away this time for less than 385 all in.

Wife wanted a AIO for office after playing around with HP AIO in Costco, but those were cheapest $750 for a newer gen i3 before taxes

On eBay they go for alot more than what I payed.

Mine hasn't shipped, so might be waiting atleast a week as next business day is Tuesday and I chose cheapest shipping option =/

a bunch of those (A and B) reloaded up late this afternoon, but they were all that same mid-range CPU. I just coudn't pull the trigger on something that was slower than even my old i7 Sandy Bridge laptop CPU. it's more than fast enough, but I just don't like downgrading ever and I worry I'd buy one and still use my older laptops.

but if Dell gets some in with the Core i7 4800MQ (which is supposed to be standard on the mid-high range models) I am in for two.
Those older generation dual core i5's are becoming even less attractive now that laptop manufacturers released their products with 4-core 8th generation i5's and i7's U processors. These new 4-c U processors can match or surpass older quad core i7's while getting longer endurance on battery. Best Buy Canada has had the Acer swift 3 and 5 for around $800+.

i5-4200M vs i5-8250U

I wouldn't buy either a dual core used laptop unless it's at a basement bargain price, 1080P and with battery in excellent condition.

Laptops...every last one of them is 1366 x 768 (129).... They should all be selling less than $300 even before factoring in 30% discount.

got one of these last sale. so far so good. Just make sure that you get one with the specs you wanted, seems like some of them did not list a wireless lan card, but i got one that did.

Didn't check that I was in such a hurry lol ( I noticed that last few sales, but was in a rush).

Just checked the service tag, wireless included.

Thanks for pointing out.

why are some Dell OptiPlex 3010 $359 while others are $287? They're identical specs.

Wow - 5 year old computers
, 8x USB 2.0, Audio In/Out
https://www.dellrefurbished.ca/desktop- ... 88615.html

Are these returns from some corporate lease (Well Used Stock)
or just some old boxes they found in some warehouse? (New Old Stock)
End of lease I believe, and then retrofitted (reffurbished) as needed.

Most refurb products are factory retrofits from end of lease, or returns from warranty replacements

It has a standard 3.5" HDD.

You can still get free upgrade to win 10 by Dec 31 2017(this comes with win 7 pro, so would be windows 10 pro) or can buy a cheap license (plenty of threads and eBay)

Got my 9020 AIO today, haven't set it up.

I read some previous threads about questioning the grade A refurb, with some scratches/scuffs.

Mine looks brand new all around.

Looks like they plan to have a boxing day sale/week, got a notification but didn't get into specifics
