I just went to priceline and couldn't find any hotels like hilton or mariotte for $89 in downtown Toronto. Can you show me how you got it?

You bid on certain type of hotel like 2 star, 3 star, etc and pick your area of the city your hotel and date you need and you can only do it once per day. You also dont know which hotel you will get till after a successful bid which hotel it is. If you get a successful bid, your CC will be billed immediately and dont expect to back out of the deal. They will give you hints to which area of the city your most likey to get a deal.

I bid and won Marriott Toronto Bloor Yorkyille for $68 for mid September. I was actually pissed that I overbid for this hotel. Other people paid $55 for this hotel and about the same period. For $68, I was hoping I would have won Westin Harbour Castle with priceline.
If I have to pay $89 for Delta Toronto East, I would be really, really pissed.

I have used priceline before and it's not necessarily cheaper and I would rather know where in staying before I put my money in someone else's wallet. I travel bi-weekly for business reasons and I usually use priceline however I've also paid over $100 for my rooms on high season through priceline.
This time I'm bringing my family and the Delta Toronto East has Zoo tickets they're giving with their packages. You can also buy them at the front desk for $12.75 taxes inclusive. I don't know where I'm going to find tickets this cheap elsewhere.
IMO if you're bringing kids, stay in the scarborough area. I've stayed with many other hotels in Toronto but none as friendly to my kids as this one.

If you don't mind a 2 star place, May 1 to September 1
ONE WEEK $311 w/tax
ONE MONTH is $547, TWIN $821
-free breakfast
-no ac - bring a fan or...?
-safe hotel, but a seedy area after 10pm
-no tv in room, two public tv areas, lounge
-locked room
-shared kitchen and facilities
-discount for seniors and hostellers cardholders
around College and Yonge Subway
Neil Wycik
THAT is a deal, not 4 stars, nearly impossible to spell
OK I get it
BUT an RFD paradise - just for the bragging rights !!!
Of course only 5 weeks left too...
