Designer Depot's grand opening in Edmonton: 30% off coupon valid Nov 5 to 18, 2005
Update: there's a brochure with a 30% off coupon inside (coupon valid from Nov 5 to Nov 18, one coupon per customer per purchase.) You can pick up the brochures at the jewellery counter and they also hand them out at the door.
Saw the ad in Edmonton Journal today:
Grand Opening on Sat, Nov 5 at Designer Depot (of the HBC company)
West Point Centre
17540 100th Avenue N.W.
Edmonton, Alberta
T5S 2B8
M-F 10am - 9pm, Sat. 10am - 6pm, Sun. 11am - 6pm
The 1st 200 customers at the door at 10am (store opening) will get a $10 gift card, valid with a min $25 purchase on Nov 5 only.

I went to the store this morning, the whole thing was so disorganized! First, they opened at 9:30am instead of 10am like they announced on the radio and newspaper. Second, they make you buy min $25 purchase and then they give you the $10 gift card. You can't use the $10 toward your 1st purchase, you have to make another purchase to use the $10 gift card and it's only valid today. They only had 200 gift cards to give away but instead of giving them to the cashiers to hand out to customers, there's a woman who walks around and she won't give it to you unless you ask for it. When they start to run out of gift cards, they start putting out brochures which has a 30% off coupon inside valid from Nov 5 to Nov 18. You can pick up the brochures at the jewellery counter and they also hand them out at the door.
The concept is a bit like Winners but the stock are not that great. This is the first Designer Depot in Edmonton and frankly I don't see how they can compete with Winners.

It depends on where you're coming from. The transit system here has a great tool on thier website which will tell you exactly what to do and when. Have a look. BTW welcome to the city!

There are also those brochures at The Bay. I assume you can pick up those brochures at Zellers and Home Outfitters also.
