This actually looks like a really good expansion, I have fallen off Destiny and didn't really play any of the other DLCs but will be getting back into it when this comes out

My issue is time. There's a few other games in the fall I want to play. The new Tomb Raider and Red Dead Redemption. Doesn't leave alot of time for Destiny. I also find Destiny is best played as soon as the new content is released. I suppose I could play it in lieu of Tomb Raider. It would give me time to wait on sale for that. Single player games don't have super quick need to play them.

I like the increased level/power...600 light, jeebus!

Not so sure I like the cost though. I currently have the Seasons Pass which means I'll have to buy the DLC Deluxe + Annual Pass (because I like to get everything in one shot)...seems pricey for another expansion. Unless this is included in my current seasons pass...

The DLC is 52.49 on PSN, it does seem kind of high. The DLC + Annual Pass is over $90.

The most recent DLC... I've started into it a few weeks late because I was finishing up with God of War. Still I'm two weeks in and the only things left for me to do (for the most part) is grind the weekly milestones to level up (Which is taking way longer in this DLC than the last one). I'm not feeling the urge to grind stuff for this seasons faction ornaments. Maybe next iron banner but meh.....

Still undecided as play this DLC or the new Tomb Raider in september.

$50USD for a DLC? Right after Bungie accepted $100 Million to do games for a Chinese company? I didn't think they were that desperate for money. So, it translates into buying the game again for a DLC. Warmind so far has been underwhelming to me. Sure, lots of secrets, secret areas, etc. But most loot has been cosmetic or else reskins of older weapons, most of which are totally useless against higher level bosses, etc. This game is nice if you like collecting things. Not so nice if you are a PvE player like myself...

To be fair, this is probably Activision setting the prices. As much as everyone wanted, giving away DLCs for free wasn't something Activision is in the habit of doing. Even COD that had 2 bad games in a row and beating a dead horse with BO4, is still going with the paid DLC model... or more accurately the season pass. So I'm not surprised by the move they made for D2. $40 US was the same price as TTK (we were still getting DLCs at par back then). $30 is a little cheaper than the $40 total the last 2 expansions costed, so that seems to be Activision's stance: small discount on what we would have normally charged you, but only if you buy everything! COD:BO4, you want the season pass the buy the Specialist Edition. You can't get it with just the normal game (I'm sure it'll be offered later though). D2, you have to get both the D2 expansions that are out right now if you want Forsaken DLC that will fix all the gripes you have with D2 and $30 more for the next 2 expansions that will fix your gripes about Forsaken.

The thing is, is forsaken a big dlc or a little dlc. If it's the same size as the last two, I don't really think it's worth $50. For me that's worth about $30 or $40. The last few DLC's haven't been all that big. If it's a TTK sized DLC then it's probably worth the price tag.

Problem is you don't know until you buy it, and destiny DLC's have diminishing returns. Lots of people play the for the first bit, then drop off like flies. Allthough to be fair I turned on d1 for kicks the other day and there were still people in the tower and people playing crucible.
