DHT for torrent?

do i need this? it takes awhile to turn green or even sometimes it doesn't and stays red. but downloading still seems fine..

DHT is like a backup tracker for the torrents, it tries to find the torrent you are downloading from the main tracker in the DHT .... you dont need it, but it might give you better speeds ... remember though, if you are on a private tracker (one that needs a password to download torrents) any uploads you do to the DHT leeches wouldnt count towards your ratio ...
