Ooops didn't know there was a thread for this before i started my thread. one of my friends told me to check my account to see if i got invited since he got invited and i checked this afternoon and it was there! I guess im one of the lucky ones that got "randomly" selected for an invite.

For those of you who are not sure if you got invited, go check your bnet account. Under Summary, You Game Accounts, if you see diablo 3 beta, means you are invited. Just click it to download. There is no key, you logon with your account.

Now i know blizzard is not stupid... but someone can try this? get the beta exe file from someone who has it, and install and see if you can logon using your own account. It probably won't work as i believe blizzard is smart enough to only let those accounts that are invited to be logged in to the server.


Anyways, i played for about 1.5 hours today. it was only act 1. maybe not even the whole act 1. The game is a bit different, but the fundamentals are the same. After 1.5 hours, they announced the server was shutting down.... not sure if its back up yet, its been 2 hours since they turned off the server.

BETA patch 9 is coming out right now thats why server are down. the beta is like 1/3 of act 1 so its only a small portion of the game obviously.

Do you know how long it'll be down for? and how do they expect to balance and fix bugs if they only release 1/3 of act 1 as beta? If there is 5 acts like in d2 than they only released 1/15 of the game.

aalui if it doesnt get resolved it let you use mine. As fun as it is, Im done with it, played trough with all class and leveled up monk to 13. I probably wont play untill release.

Sorry! Like orcman said above, the beta doesn't really last long in terms of replay value since much is limited, but during that time, what a time destroyer!

Hope its just a hiccup in the system and the invite is coming for ya bud!

so i upped my crafting to lvl 3, and i can make items that require way higher lvl than the lvl cap of the character... lame...
i think i've done SK like 50 times and yet to see it drop even 1 rare item...
