Did anyone buy a laptop on boxing day? Warranty or no?

I happened to pick up the Acer laptop from Futureshop and they said I have 14 days to decide if I want the warranty or not.
What do you guys think I should do? its 225 for 2 years and the product has a 1 yr manufacturing warranty already on it.

Anyone else buy a laptop with or without a warranty?

if you bought using a credit card, you might be eligible for a free extended warranty for upto an year. After 2 years, if a system breaks I would suggest you to get a new one...

Laptops depreciate so quickly. Soon your PSP is worth more than your laptop  Dude, buy it cheap & try save TAX -- that's the Canadian Way

My laptop was the HP 9005 17" for $999 at BB. Did not buy the warranty.
My credit card adds 1 year to the manufacturers warranty.

i agree, and plus your credit card adds 1yr warrenty so theres really no point on getting more unless you spend more than 2G
