Did anyone get an iPhone X model A1865 in Canada?

Apparently iPhone X model A1865 has the superior Qualcomm chipset compared to the A1901 Intel chipset. I'm wondering does anyone in Canada have model A1865?

According to this, Canada only gets the inferior iPhone X model A1901. I hope it's not true. Anyone in Canada picked up an iPhone X model A1865?

My wife and I both have unlocked 256gb iPhone x’s right from Apple, both are the a1901

What’s inferior exactly? Just the LTE top speeds?

I regularly get 120mbps+ on telus, a little faster than my 6s used to get in the same area

The A1865 is available as a SIM-free factory-unlocked version at Apple retail stores in USA.

Apple will not sell them in Canada.

Qualcomm vs Intel same as last year in the 7’s reported by Cellular Insights, google their report.

ymmv, would only matter if you frequent fringe, and/or buildings with poor signal reception where every little bit helps.

Qualcomm version is not available in Canada.

Even if you went to the US and got one, if your phone breaks while in Canada and you need a replacement, they won't be able to help you as they don't have these models here.

Here
Only Apple, Verizon and Sprint (and other CDMA network providers?) sell the A1865 in the US despite being supported by all US networks. T-Mobile and AT&T sell the A1901. I'm not sure about the other carriers.

If Canadians want the A1865, an Apple store in the US is probably the best place to get one.

I've heard there's not much difference (1000 Mbps A1865 vs 600 Mbps A1901) but the qualcomm one is better at getting higher LTE signals where the Intel one can't. If you don't need the iPhone right now then I'd say wait because Apple is trying to get rid of Qualcomm since they wanted to patent their technology, and are making Intel support the Gigabit LTE connections on their future iPhone phones. Wow Apple really looking to take the market (after how many attempts?)

I don’t know why but Bell has one that supports CDMA EVDO, is that one Qualcomm?

There was some discussion on the Qualcomm vs Intel chips in this thread, but some moderator has nuked a part of the thread so some of the information has vaporized. Talk was that the Qualcomm chip was having issues in the Edmonton area IIRC.

update: Here's a HF thread on why you'll want the officially sold Intel based chip in Canada
