You might have gotten one of MS' many duds. Return it before your shamelessly short warranty runs out.

did my newly purchased Xbox 360 just died on me!??!!
Hey guys,
I recently got this xbox....and the console stoped reading my discs today when I put in my usual games....
everything else seem to work just fine. Except for it will not read any games or DVDs....looks like the CD Rom is down or something.
Has anyone experience this before?
How can I back up the save files on the HD?
THanks a lot!

xbox
14 of 20 gigs because there is 6 gigs of preloaded songs and movie clips on the hard drive.
You have a 90 day warranty to return to retail, and then I think its something like $180 to get it fixed directly by calling 1800myxbox. (unless you buy the MS extended warranty)
As far as backing up your game saves, go get a 64 meg memory card...I think you can save the files from your hd onto that._______________
99% of the stuff I own comes from RFD!
