Hello,
I purchased a cell phone over the phone with Rogers.
The contract was agreed on was for 2 years (this was in 2010).
After 2 years, I didn't want to renew the contract, so I wanted to cancel it. Right away, customer service said my contract was for 3 years.
What should I do to verify this? Did they lie to me and put in 3 years when we initially agreed on 2 years? Where should I check?
Thanks in advance.

I believe back then they had that option. Time to look at your papers.

I remember about 5 years ago they had 2/3 year terms, but 2 years ago ( nope ). You may had been renewing an old 2 year contract which got increased to new 3 year contract at time period.
You will need to pull up old paperwork on this to prove it was 2 years, or use google and search rogers 2 yr plans 2010, and find a plan that matches what your plan as proof. and contacta them with the proof you have gathered.
