Digital Camera Advice

I currently own a Canon PowerShot SD300 Digital ELPH, have had it for a few years now. Haven't really had a problem with the picture quality or anything.

But recently while at a concert, I realized how unclear the pictures turned out, although I was not too far from the stage.

I think my current camera is ok for taking pictures in very close proximity and at like parties lol.

Umm.... Just curious on what other Canon digital camera is good for situations such as concerts, which can capture a more clear picture (currently have a 4mp one)??????
Looking to get one just for special occasions, so I don't end up getting crappy pictures that I really want to have lol.

Possibly looking to spend under $250.00
Doesn't have to be super professional or anything, just more convenient then my current one.
