Alkaline batteries will not last very long at all. You wil be fine with the batteries you purchased.. NiMH batteries from any company will work just fine.

digital camera battery question
I got a question regarding my digital camera i just purchased
its a canon a400 and i read the manual about the batteries
and it says either use 2 AA alkaline batteries or use CANON NiMH rechargable batteries, i just picked up a energizer NiMh rechargable battery set w/ charger
anyone w/ a canon digital camera use rechargable batteries? if so, what kind?
do you guys think i could use these energizers?
thanks in advance

Don't worry ... You can use NiMH batteries from any companies. However, I have a few suggestions for you :
1. Energizer is good. Stick with MIJ batteries.
2. After you recharge your batteries, let it cool. Do NOT insert hot batteries into your camera.

I don't think MIJ is that important. Anyway, www.batteryuniversity.com .. tonnes of info there.

Mar 6th, 2005 10:34 PM #11I bought them all from Home Hardware a little while ago. You can also get Sanyo from Costco. I believe they are all Sanyo-made batteries. You should see "HR" on the bottom (negative side) of the batteries.
