dip on cd surface
I might be overreacting here, but there is a small dip/bump on the surface of one of my cds. The cd is able to be read by my cd-roms and reports no errors, so can I assume that it is smooth sailing even with this bump? It can only be seen when you shine the cd in light. Like will the cd eventually die? Or it's no big deal as long as it works and there are no reported disc read/corruption errors?

if it works fine i wouldn't worry *too* much about it - besides what else can you do about it?
back it up anyway just in case. it never hurts to be prudent about something in case it does go wrong.
