I wouldn't touch this after using the 10" Koobo Arc 10 that's currently $179 at both BestBuy and Futureshop. Everything about the Koobo beats it besides colour accuracy and maybe gaming performance.

Think you're also forgetting form factor. Those who want a bigger screen will prefer the Kobo 10. Those (like me) who prefer portability will prefer the Nexus 7. Also forgetting the fact that the Nexus 7 is still a supported device by Google as well as XDA devs while the Kobo 10 will most likely stay on ICS (not sure what the latest firmware is).

BINGO.

I think the deal is dead.

Very good points, but for the average user the Kobo is a far better deal.

Everything and the fact that the Nexus can run the latest builds of Android. The Arc 10HD is on a 2 generation old build (Jelly Bean 4.2) and is never getting updated again.

There have been a lot of UI improvements in speed, fluidity and features since 4.2.
