For criminal offences, you are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
For speeding tickets and traffic offences, is different, but somehow the same - in this case, you are not convicted of that speeding ticket until you actually go to trial next year and the system finds you guilty.
You have a clean record... NOW, and that's what the insurance company wants to know. It is accepted fact that, IN THE FUTURE, you may get speeding tickets, but one step at the time... first, get you rpolicy started. And you may win in April.

Disclosure of Traffic Ticket to Insurance When Getting Quotes
Hi,
I'm currently trying to go around and get an insurance quote for a car that i'm planning to buy. I have very good driving record, and I'm over 25 years old. I've been registered as a second driver for more than 1 year now.
So the insurance company have quoted me for 1950$ for one year. I told the insurance company all that information and that i have not got any traffic ticket. However, here is where i'm not sure.
I did get a speeding ticket in the Spring time this year. However; I have not been charged since I'm awaiting my trial date in April 2009. So what do I do? Do I tell the insurance company that I got a speeding ticket and that my trial is in April 2009? Do they take this as that i'm for sure will be getting charged and give me different quote?
If I don't tell them now, they might find out later and raise my insurance?
Thanks,
