You paid less per person for moderate resort and dining plan? Price includes flight, hotel and theme park for 7 days...

Ticket = ~$300 per person
Flight = ~$300 per person
Buy Disney vacation club point @ $10 per point x 13 per night x 7 = $910 for 7 nights in a DELUXE resort
total $2110, cheaper than (934 + tax) x 2

You can easily by points from Canada. I would recommend using a trusted site like disboards, and make sure to check references. You can also use their sponsored travel agency that sells points at $13/point. Cheap point locations are Boardwalk villas and Animal Kingdom Villas. Only drawback is you have to the the dvc owner to book the dining plan for you, so you might have to give your cc over the phone with them, or work something else out. It is definitely worth it though with all the extra amenities the deluxe resorts offer. We bought points last year, and would definitely do it again!
BTW, I agree you can usually book it yourself cheaper. The jaunt is not that great a deal IMHO.

Yes it came slightly less than $4000. $2400 at Caribbean Beach resort with the dining plan and 5 day passes not 7 days.
The flight out of TO was $1400 with Sunwing and a rental car. It also included a room at a 2 star hotel but we were staying at Disney anyway. The Sunwing package (Flight, hotel and car) was cheaper than regular 4 tickets with Sunwing, go figure.
It was a blast though, wasn't looking forward to all the walking but had a great time. This was in mid February.

That is a great price compared to the price I paid during Christmas. Can everyone post approximately which month they went to get these deals because I do not think these prices are possible during christmas or march break.

You do realize that Disney has different "seasons" during the year that greatly effect the price of the hotel and the cost of the Dining Plan?
The cost of the park ticket will not change during the year, but if you're staying at a Disney resort, the cost of the hotel will depend on which "season" it is, and the seasons do change depending on whether you're staying at a Value, Moderate or Deluxe resort.
And then any special offers (ie Free Dining, or 30 to 40% off the room rate) will also be affected by the season.
Free Dining has frequently been offered in past years during the Value Seasons, or in the Fall season. I myself have never seen it offered during Holiday season, but I could be wrong (as we don't travel during those peak times, so I'm not really looking for deals for those times).
