Do any of you own the Gorillapod?

I saw a handful of folks throughout Europe using these on my honeymoon.

Anyone have first hand experience with these?

What are your thoughts and where'd you pick one up from?

Yep, I have one. To be honest I only used it a couple of times, but I think it's quite useful if you travel. If you have a dSLR then you need the heaviest (biggest) of three sizes of Gorillapod, the middle one won't hold if you have a heavy lens.

I got mine from Henry's on Yonge & Steeles

I have one and although i don't use it all the time, i find it pretty useful.

I bought it to tide me over until I get a real tripod, but also because it's very light/compact so I can just throw it in my camera bag when I go shooting.

I got mine at joby.com (there was a 10% off coupon somewhere online too), but I'm not sure if they ship to Canada.

I had mine for a year now and its very handy. I bought the biggest one for my Canon XTi with 17-85mm lens, no problem. The tripod works well sturdy legs, times that it slips and times that it doesn't when wrapped around something.

Got mine at TheCameraStore in calgary.
