Do I need to get a shifter for the Logitech G29 wheel?

Hi, I’m looking to get my husband the Logitech G29 race wheel and a wheel stand for Christmas. He plays F1 on the PS3. Will he need the shifter as well? Thanks for your advice!

no because f1 games use paddle shifters and the g29 has paddle shifters.

Thank you! That was exactly what I wasn’t sure about. What are your thoughts about the wheel stand? Should I get that or invest in an actual seat? The F1 seats are really expensive though but the more affordable Playseats seem to be too upright.

Depends what your budget is - I bought the Wheel Stand Pro a few years ago and my Dad loves it. http://wheelstandpro.com/products/wheel ... l---deluxe

Or you can get a Playseat from Costco for around $400 - https://www.costco.ca/CatalogSearch?key ... ageSize=96
