Do not deal with user "ticallian" (emt scam)
user "ticallian"
user wanted to buy my laptop, we aranged everything, and it was all done i was going to meet him at union station in a couple of hours. we were communicating over msn and at the last minute he tells me he doesnt have the cash right now, but he can get his "bro" to send me an emt and he cant get his bro to withdrawl cash because hes at work and he works far from him, i refused and told him i would only take cash, i even offered to drive to him (near niagra) tomorrow to get cash but he was presistent on meeting tonight and using emt, user only had 1 heatware (under "madmanticallian") also and it was for another laptop very suspicious
be carefull with this user.Last edited by qaplmz; Sep 28th, 2006 at 02:19 PM.

qaplmz is full of junk.
Ive been dealing with Ticallian as well the whole time, and he has always been the buyer, and always willing to pay before the product being sent.
I ended up selling to another buyer (a close friend), and apologized to him for backing out, but he definitely hasnt been trying to rip me off.
I dont know what QA is talking about, as I dont see how a buyer can scam someone out of something unless the seller is a complete moron.
Cheers.

Look at the transaction taking place. The guy (tialicbannaa w/e) backed out at the last minute from a cash trade. Switched to a EMT deal. He's a newbie with 1 heatware. Ya I would be a bit skeptical myself. Id prefer cash if it was a local deal. Would only do an emt trade if the person sent the item first or... is a reliable trader.

Is he a scammer? I don't know, maybe/maybe not. But still, you have to take caution or regret your decision for the rest of your life. He could be an honest trader. But still, he has to prove it first.

I was gonna make sure he recieves the money before I even get ready to leave. Also who would be stupid enough to send out a laptop and recieve funds after when buyer has even 2 feedbacks. I always deal in cash but this situation was in such a position where I could only offer him EMT.Also you said he's always willing to pay first. Well not this time, it appears he backed out from paying first (in cash) and wanted to pay after he received the labtop via EMT.
P.S. My last seller also recieved EMT funds from me and was also suspicious but he never had any problems.

Ok, well the OT didn't explain that in the first post. He didn't specify that you were willing to send an EMT first. Which, now that you put into perspective. It makes no sense to me. Why would he assume your scammer if you willing to pay first. Heck, why wouldn't he do the trade if your paying first. He just lost himself a deal.

Well everyone started as a newbie. I wouldn't call any newbie a scammer because of deal fell through. But in the mean time we could never be too careful.

from what i've heard emts can be sent from hacked emails then the money could be frozen after the hacked victim reports it, you gotta be suspicious especialy in this case, he was sending me pms mentioning he doesnt know much about computers but hes already bought a laptop, why is he buying another? and at the very last minute he mentions he does not have cash, he could have mentioned that before, yesterday i was at niagra falls for fun i IM'd him on msn and left him my number, told him to call me because im in niagra and i could bring the laptop to him, but he never replied or called me, i also asked him for a phone number earlier today and he gave me a 14-digit number
im pretty sure niagra has a standard 10 digit number like the rest of ontario.

Memo to everyone involved, it's spelled Niagara.
Also yes, Niagara is within the 905/289 overlay.
