Do prepaid credit cards work on Ebay?

Well I've been googling for the last half hour, seems like theres mixed answers...

Wondering if anyone could shed some light on this issue?

Do prepaid credit cards work on Ebay? Specifically the Vanilla Mastercard/whichever one that's sold in Shoppers.

I know for sure it won't work for PayPal because I have tried before and as well, I don't think it will work on eBay since the prepaid credit card doesnt have the last 4 digit codes or something

Many pre-paid cards are not acceptable for seller verification. Please verify with the card issuer that:
* The card does not have an Internet/phone order block.
* The billing address your bank has for you is identical to the one you are entering.

Ebay doesn't take payments except for seller fees. Is this what you plan to use a pre paid card for?

If you are making a purchase, a seller may take the pre paid card, but you don't pay Ebay directly for the purchase.

My Prepaid Credit Card from Citibank worked on Paypal. So I guess it on depends which company you get it from.

My Money Mart prepaid works perfectly with paypal.

I used it with paypal before. prepaid credit card is same as any other credit card but they will check the balance in your card before you can buy

yes, vanilla card wrks with paypal, ive done it many times,

i suggest u look at the VISA gift cards too available at MAC's and A&P/Dominion

I can confirm it works for eBay seller fees. I have a Vanilla Mastercard which I used partially for seller fees a few months ago.

I also think it depends on which prepaid credit card you have. As some require your name and address as the "billing address". Not sure about the Vanilla Mastercard since I got it from someone else.

As for using it with Paypal, I don't think there's chargeback protection like with a normal credit card, so it's safer to use a real credit card instead.
