Do you drink tap water or bottled water?

So I have finally run out of bottled water in my house and I am wondering if I should switch to tap water? It doesnt taste bad and I dont smell/taste anything funky.

Opinions?

Thats interesting. I wonder where the tap water from the GTA comes from? Lake Ontario perhaps?

You mean your kidneys?
Or do you filter the remaining water from the tap after you are done drinking it?

I drink tap because I don't live in the boonies.

I usually boil my tap water. But, I have drank cold water on occasion straight from the tap. It is safe.

Your poll should have an option that says both.

I always have a few cases of bottled water at home. Sometimes I refill old bottles with boiled water that's cooled down. I always clean the bottles before refilling. I also don't reuse them after a certain amount of time, because of wear and tear. If I'm really lazy to boil water, I'll grab a fresh bottle.

Lately, I've been refilling bottles from a filtered water fountain at my gym. It has a place where you can place a bottle to fill (Not from where people drink from), so it's sanitary.

Mind you, I go to the gym every day / or every other day depending on the season, so I usually refill a bottle to take home after a work out.

I also keep cases on hand at home because I always take 2 fresh bottles with me when I play sports.

If you read the label on your bottled water, you'll see that it comes from 'municipal sources', i.e. it's bottled tap water.

Tap through Mavea filter. Tastes better than bottled too.

I meant an external water filter after it comes out of the tap, but I guess my kidneys are part of the process as well.

Wow the responses to this thread are strongly consistent with my view on the matter. No need for bottled water. Fact is that this is Toronto do you think they would have water come out of our municipal water sources if it were not safe?
biohazard is the least of my concern. also chemical hazards like trace chlorine is nothing compared to all the other chemical hazards people are exposed to. food cooked at high temps, pollution, cleaning agents, and more. If we don't die because of those then we must be safe with whatever is in the water supplied to the city.

I think the water for the city comes from deep in the lake. But I am not sure.

Tap water at home, bottled water at work (no potable water there).
