Bottled water was the main source of drinking water for close to 20 per cent of GTA homes between 2009 and 2015, after dropping down from 34 per cent in 2007.

Are you from one of these 3rd world countries? Many of my Chinese co-workers will order hot water at restaurants when we go for a team lunches... I look like the odd ball asking for ice water.

I spoke to a water expert about this. He told me the initial taste/smell dissipates in a few minutes so his advise was to fill a jug with water and leave it sit in a fridge if you like it cold or on a counter if you prefer it less cold. The taste/smell goes away and you fill your glass form that.umop wrote: ↑Feb 8th, 2016 5:43 amTap water tastes nasty for me. I slightly cringe when I try it, which is only when we have literally nothing else to drink and I'm dying of thirst, and even then I can't take more than a few sips.
I sometimes wish I liked the taste so I'd save on bottled water.

Drinking ice water while eating apparently causes people to eat more than they should. I heard a guy on the radio recently talking about this and he said that this habit might be one of the causes of obesity in developed countries.

And then there are the other crack pots who say drinking cold water after eating will help you lose weight. Both probably have some truth to it matter how insignificant that truth might be. The real culprit is staring at your in the mirror. Put down the fried chicken.
