Since both games release in between 2 separate weeks, which one would you get if you must choose only one?
I'll get DOA5. Tekken can wait for me since I still play TTT1 arcade version on my PC.

Neither. Dead of Alive is all about the eye candy and jiggle physics but the core fighting mechanics are well behind the best in the genre.
Tekken Tag doesn't look as if much effort has gone into it over Tekken 6. The character models and engine still look a few years outdated as well.
I pre-ordered Tekken 6, SC IV and V at around launch only to see those Namco titles go on sale for less than half price a month or two after.
I like how Persona 4 Arena is shaping up. It is rare to see hand animated sprites in good fighting games anymore because of time it takes to draw every frame.

I would get TTT2 first, but I would still wait till they both become $39.99 after three months after release.

I can smell that TTT2 will drop to $39.99 quicker than DOA5 since it's just T6 upgrade. Also softcore porn is very welcome

Without even looking at videos, I imagine not much has changed in either series over their previous iterations.
But if I had to choose one I'd go for DOA5 just for the girls.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is looking really good to me. The pre-order detail is looking sweet with
Big Bikini Bundle with over 100 swimsuits
XBLA Yoshimitsu & Raven Avatars or PSN Tempest Theme
Snoop Dogg Stage
Early Access to Kunimitsu, Ancient Ogre, Michelle Chang and Angel
(myself I'm looking forward to Persona 4 Arena)

Bamco will pay its ultimate price for not releasing the game earlier when fans wanted it the most. Same thing happened with Tekken 6.

SFxTK was made by Capcom...go figure
Tekken is just hard to play at first (for any beginner), more technical combo's, more variety, flexibility etc. but if you put in some effort, you will find movement, combo's and game play quite easy and that your problems were nonsense. Like with any game, it takes practice and patience.
DOA on the other hand is easier to combo and play right from the beginning which is nice but will get boring really quick, at least for me.
I also wonder if DOA's netcode will be any good. Tekken will be using SCV's netcode which is regarded as the best netcode to come out.
I've been playing Tekken seriously since T5 and for me, T6 is the easiest Tekken game; very nub friendly and easy to do combos and play. If TTT2 is anything like T6, be happy it's even more easier to play. It's not a clone of T6 and you will be a fool if you tried to play it like T6. Harada is also giving ton's of free DLC, returning characters, revamped online modes etc. DOA...just some.
TTT2 will be legendary! Get it if you want ton's of free content, loads of fun and a great net-code to go with it :]Last edited by miloca; Jul 25th, 2012 at 04:21 PM.

about to order TTT2
gamestop.ca is 59.99 but you get Kunimitsu, Ancient Ogre, Michelle Chang and Angel
bestbuy is 59.99 but 800 points back ($10 in value) but you only get Michelle Chang and Angel
i am guessing each DLC character will be $4.99 ? Or I wonder if the characters are just time locked. Then getting it from besbuy is a better deal.
UK store "Game" gets the exclusive "we are tekken" collector's edition for 60 GBP

DoA was never any good. The worst Tekken game is still better than the best DoA game.
