Does a company filing for Chapter 11 in the states affect its Canadian suppliers?
I work for a Canadian company which supplies goods for a company in the states that just went under Chapter 11. Does this affect us at all? I can't seem to find this info online anywhere.

Yes we have receivables owing on our AR side. They owe us around $7k. When we contacted them for payment they told us that it wouldn't affect as at all because we are a Canadian supplier. They then issued a cheque to clear all arrears. :S
Sorry, I've now fixed the title of this thread...
