Does Costco have car battery installation service?

Tried to call Tire center and no one picked up phone.

Thanks for feedback.

wouldn't it be easier and cheaper just to buy the battery and install it yourself?

Seriously?

Disconnect battery
remove cover or wedge that keeps battery in place
lift out battery
put in new battery
connect new battery
replace cover or wedge that secures battery

on most cars it's not overly difficult.

there's even video's

its pretty straightforward but...maybe the guys at Crappy Tire will do it if you slip him a $20. Might as well get the battery from there too.

I guess it's just fear. It is easy, wear gloves and eye protection.

Costco Tire Service Centres will NOT install batteries for you.

Costco is a great place to buy car batteries, as they have a quality product, at a great price, with great warranty. But they will not install it for you.

As other posters have indicated, it is very easy to change batteries on most cars. On some cars (with tight engine compartments), you may need to remove more clips and things to clear up room to change batteries. With the availability of information on the internet, for most popular cars, you can look up step-by-step guides on exactly what to do to change the battery on your model of car. There may even be videos on you-tube.

If you really are uncomfortable doing it yourself, even after checking internet for step-by-step instructions for your make and model, then ask around to see how much local garages will charge to do this. Typically, local garages want you to buy the battery from them, and will include installation in the price. Otherwise, if you really don't want to try and do it yourself (and not everyone does), then just buy from someone who includes installation in the price. Most dealers nowdays will offer a flat price for a new battery including installation.

The installation is just as easy as changing air filters

disagree
air filters are harder, more screws/clips to undo

Hardly, I have to remove stabilizer bars, the windshield washer tank, and a few vacuum lines just to change my battery.
