Does CrappyTire charge for tire installation?
Hello everybody,
Does CrappyTire charge for tire installation separately, or includes installation in tire price? If it separate, how much is it? Sorry for noob question, but I have Internet but no phone today, so can't call them. TIA

They do charge for installation and rotation and it's something around $10-$15 per tire.

When you buy the tires they will install them for free but you do pay for balance.

If you buy tires from them, they'll install them for you free and balance is free as well.

Depends on sales, but usually installation & balancing etc are extra. I know for sure since my dad asked about purchasing new tires at CT.
It's quite obvious they are not selling 15inch GoodYear tires at $50 each with everything included. Unless it's a pretty big sale.

Whenever I've gone to CT for tires, they've installed them for free but charged for the balance. Like everything else in life, deals can be made. If you're buying really expensive tires I'm sure they're willing to throw more into the deal than if you're buying cheap tires.
According to the 2007 Spring/Summer catalogue you get Free installation, rubber valve stems, flat repair, rotation & brake inspection every 10,000km and 5 year road hazard and manufacturer's warranty with the purchase of tires. Balancing extra.
Ask them to balance for free. The worst they will say is no.

So it's like YMMV. I bought a set of snow tires in 2005 and installation and balancing were free at that time.

Balancing is not free. Installation is, but since balancing is not, really installation isn't free at all. Most CTs charge like $15 per wheel to balance, with normal flange-attached weights.

Tire Installation = Free
Balance per tire = $15 (approximate)
Rotate Tire = $6 per tire
