Does FutureShop pricematch DirectCanada?
I went to pricematch a video card today and was told that FS does not pricematch direct canada. Is this true, or was the employee BS'ing me?

If you don't like the answer the associate gave you ask for a manager and then if they don't match it for you get them to show you the clause on their price guarantee that they are using to deny it then email customer service. This is of course if the price match is worth all this effort to you.

For all the FS hate, why not buy from the store you want to PM.

Its possible to PM Direct Canada but in this case, FS/BB has a legit excuse. Direct Canada is an online retailer so if you're trying to buy instore, they can refuse your PM. If you try to PM online, they really have no excuse to reject your PM.

They PM online retailers (as per their policy) but they also have a blanket statement that says they reserve the right to dynamically impose rules and restrictions on-demand, so it'll be up to the particular store. The downtown Toronto BB and FS have never given me hassle PMing online retailers, whereas the west GTA stores instantly deny. I find the customer service of the downtown locations to be far superior in every manner to say the locations in Mississauga and Etobicoke.

Sometimes if they do pricematch, they'll also PM + add shipping fees to the PM if applicable.

Best way generally is grab the item and take it to CS or counter and do the PM there. Its much better than talking with the "know it all" reps for each department when they don't know the difference between most items.

Well, its quite obvious that we would prefer to PM at FS since directcanada is an online store, and lets face it not everyone trust online shopping. Also, the pricematch + 10% off is a nice bonus.
