Went today to price adjust, they gave it to me in the form of a gift card. North York location. Wtf Ikea?
...well, considering you didn't provide any detail as to why they gave the gift card, one could ask... WTF, dracolnyte?

Age of thread notwithstanding, I've gotten cash refunds and GC refunds depending on the situation. Unless you'll only ever shop at Ikea once in your life and you bought the item very recently and were able to provide the original receipt, I don't think a GC is such a bad thing.

Yes bought last week with original receipt, issued adjustment with GC.

Edit: I sent them a message and they confirmed they issue store credit
