What drivers do you need?
Go right to the manufacturers websites to get the drivers._______________

Hmmm ... It appears Sony has only drivers for Vista ... You may need to track down the XP drivers for other similar (possibly slightly older) models ...

you will find all the drivers on sony site. just make sure you write down what model #'s your laptop.
also do a print out or write down all the drivers you would think you would need.
video card
sound card
usb
mouse
touch pad
sony software
etc etc.
what chipset the sony uses._______________

If it is a model that has been recently released with Vista, and never with XP, you will only find Vista drivers for that model.
You'll have to hunt down the individual drivers from the manufacturers website of each specific component, i.e. soundcard, video card, wireless card, etc.

I bought the same laptop. I love it so far, it's really nice. Looks like a powerbook.
I suggest you stick with Vista. It runs pretty smooth on the machine. I'm running visual studio with no problems.
