I play the demo for Battlefield 1942 all the time&#33; Free and lots of fun.

There are 2 versions, single player and multiplayer (multi is the most fun). There is only 1 level for each version, but for free it&#39;s great.

As well they just released some new version.. BF1942 Special Weapons (i beleive thats the name), it&#39;s good for when you finally get bored of the other versions.

What&#39;s the best free MMRPG (mud style, or otherwise)?

I&#39;m currently playing SWG (it&#39;s starting to grow on me) and still have an AO account that I may want to reactivate, but I&#39;d like to get some free MMRPG action. Plus, I kinda like the old school rpgs....

Hey Stunna, you&#39;re forgetting about TetriNET 2 and Steam which allows you to play Half-Life, Counter-Strike 1.6, etc. free.

I wish Ragnarok Online is still free. Well now I get to play Final Fantasy XI beta free. :P

EDIT: Also forgot to add Grand Theft Auto.

Oh, just remembered I read this today.

"Steam Beta Ends, Full Version Ships Next Week

The Steam Beta has delivered several Valve games and popular Half-Life MODs to over 300,000 gamers, and will come to a close Tuesday evening (Pacific Daylight Time). The first full version of Steam, Valve&#39;s broadband platform for the delivery and management of digital content, will launch at 11 am PDT on Wednesday. It&#39;s basically like worms in the sense of turn based strategy with angles and wind factor, cept you control one guy. It&#39;s quite alot of fun, different tanks are better at different things, you earn money to buy items to increase your stats, and such.
