I never reserved online last year but I got 2 or 3 vouchers .... mine came staggered (not all at the same time)
The only reason I mentioned that was because of way the website is set up now, where the only way to sign up for the newsletter is to book a table and check the box.

Casinos
Casinos I can understand because you shouldn't be gambling on credit.
Debit would work, but that just adds a layer of time and complexity to the transaction. Plus you'd get that one idiot that would pay with debit for every hand.
Not to mention the fees for the above for both the user and the merchant.

If there was only an easy to use medium of value that's somewhat easily verifiable to be genuine that's also easy to handle.
Perhaps something based on paper.

Sarcasm aside, this is why casino chips are superior.
They come in logical denominations, are extremely easy to count, handle, use, etc.
I can count down a $100k tray worth of chips in a few seconds.

Oh and this is why casinos have moved to the voucher system.
Dispensing paper bills isn't practical so they used coins (which is a good substitute for chips) but is also impractical in large volumes.
This is why slot machines only paid out a certain amount before someone would just come by and hand you cash.
Nowadays someone still comes around to pay you cash for large jackpots, but smaller redemptions are done via tickets with a few centrally located machines that can handle dispensing of bills.

RFD buffet meet? Specifically at the crab legs?
When given enough time, all threads on RFD can and will go off on a tangent.

Got the coupon, was already on their mailing list.

Last year the coupon verification was via a clickable link embedded in email (based on what I read from last year’s thread, I did not participate last time). There isn’t such a link in the email this time. I wonder how they will verify the coupon and ensure single use.
