Start slow and hopefully everything you learned before will come back to you. If you're worried about anything, try calling a driving school for a in-car lesson. Let them know that you plan to get your G license soon and you want to make sure you don't have any bad habits. If you've taken driving school before, your school should be able to help out easily.

Pay for driving lessons and learn from a proffesional and not off the forums.
Doesn't your G1 expire soon? I thought there was a limit to each level. I do know you have 5 years to pass all levels (G1, G2 and, G) or you start again.

Check your tire pressure and oils regularly. A CAA/AMA membership wouldn't hurt either. With winter coming, make sure you have your winter gears in place in the trunk.
An alert driver is always calculating risks and aware of his/her surroundings, that not only means what's in front of you, but behind and beside you as well, as well as any upcoming hidden obstacles. Don't assume anything.
The brake is not the only device to get you out of situations, you also have your steering and gas pedal, make use of them if the situation permits.
And if you're young (or as I once were
) and feel the need for speed do so when nobody is around you. Bring yourself down, not others please. The last person I want you to hit is me or anybody I know (well....there is a select few...
).
Now if you don't see me posting again tomorrow, it'll probably mean I've died in a horrible speeding accident

Don’t crash.
Don’t get speeding tickets.
Practice driving your new car in a parking lot until you are comfortable with it.

Take your time too. If you live in a place like Toronto, avoid the roads during rush hour while you're getting into the groove and used to the car. More importantly, dont get pushed arund by other drivers. Honking is honking, that shouldnt foce you into an intersection you dont think is clear. Take your time, make sure everythings safe. Better to have 5 drivers angry at you and everyone alive then the bigger headache that is the alternative.
