Username : Email ending with .ca
Itunes region : Canada
I linked a Canadian Bank to Drop
I live in Canada and never lived in US so there's no way I input an US address during WealthSimple registration

Drop doesn't seem to have a country setting in the app so I don't know where else you could change Country
No idea then, email Drop support if you like
Not sure why you see USA

I just checked my Drop again - Amazon, clearly says Amazon.ca e-gift card under Details

They should be willing to pay more, especially since Ruby is more and more becoming a niche language.

I guess they are looking for a java developer now as well.
not thread related, but disappointed at how low wealthsimple pays given they are a rapidly growing startup....in finance a role that i expected would have paid 80-90k base paid 70k top end only

They won't get any real talent for that price. I doubt I will even use there service at all now.

What type of account did you guys open.

Did any face an issue with signing up, for some reason I am prompted to enter visa type even though I specify I am Canadian citizen.

While I like the concept of Drop, I will not give out my login under any circumstances. Those of you who do, clearly didn't read your bank's terms and conditions which explicitly state you cannot give away login and passwords to anyone. Guess what will happen to you when/if your accounts are compromised in any unrelated way and they see this?
The EXACT issue I have with drop. My bank doesn't have my back, so how can I participate with Drop, even if I wanted to?

I signed up for Wealthsimple and deposited almost a month ago, and Drop hasn't credited my account yet.

I also opened up a support ticket with Drop for the missing points a week ago, and they also haven't replied yet...

Same happened with me with the Air Canada Conversion offer - submitted a ticket 3 weeks back and haven't received a response or points yet, although many claim the points are awarded almost instantly for this offer..this is not how you do business!!

The Air Canada conversion card, how do I load USD$100, from a different financial institution such as HSBC?

Or can I bring USD cash to a CIBC branch to a teller to load for me?
Don't want to pay forex exchange fees.

Thanks.

That is the whole point of the card - CIBC needs to make money on the forex, hence this offering from them. As per the T&C's, you need to load "$100 CAD" worth of foreign currency, not $100 USD. Not sure if you can reload it at a teller, but you need to bring in CAD to load
