Dropping a course (University): Consequences?
Hi, just wondering what further concequences there are for dropping a University course and having "WD" (not 32) on your transcript for that course? Do employers care? If I re-take it, I can increase my mark by around 10/15%. Is it worth having a WD or no?

I think this is a good question.
Should employers or grad/professional schools care about WDN courses? No, not in my opinion. Do they? Probably not, but who knows??? Maybe someone else has the answer.
I think you should be able to omit them from your transcript, as they are irrelevant to your GPA. I would further argue that their only function they might possibly serve on your transcript, is for people looking at your transcript to say, "Oh, he didn't take a full course load this year. Maybe he couldn't handle it"... which may or may not be the case, but as it doesn't affect your academic merits, dropped courses should really be left out.
In my first year of university, I was working full-time. I had also been out of the classroom for several years. I had to drop Chemistry and Matrix Algebra that year. That doesn't make me a bad student, it just means I'm not a superhero.

Exactly, that's what I was thinking. On the other hand, if it plays a role it must be small. Otherwise surely more people would be talking about it...

By the way, out of curiousity, did you ever re-take the Chemistry and Matrix Algebra courses? If so, was your WDN/WD replaced with a mark or no?

I retook the chemistry and passed. The WDN was left on my transcript for that academic year.

They don't as long as its not in your last two years. You should be able to handle a full course load in your last two years.
Some questions:
Why did you drop the course so late? I know at UofT you can drop a course without LWD...and then after a certain period, if you drop a course LWD will show up. You should have dropped it earlier.

The thing was I was doing great and understood everything. Then I got over confident and simply neglected the class (rookie mistake, I know). Then I had a major assignment and did absolutely horrible (mainly due to personal reasons I couldn't work on it as much as I wanted and left it to the last minute, thinking it was doing to be easy like the first unit. Big, big mistake). THEN I realized there were formulas that I had no idea how to do ON THE INTERNET and the exact same question with different words was on hundreds of sites!
Lol, so I thought I can understand the material, I just made an error and didn't study like I should have. Better to drop it rather than get something in the 60s when I know it's a course I can get something in the 80s in.
And yes, I know you can do that at UoT. Actually, currently the deadline has passed and you can't even drop courses, if you drop them now you get a 32%, not even WD

No, in my opinion. Coz I just did so, and came out of school for two years, no employers have asked me about that.
I think they mostly care if you can earn more for them, not how well you performed in college.
No need to worry too much about this, do whatever you can and learn more as you can from now on.
