DSL problems

I'm with Velcom and I began having intermittent internet issues. They are really weird. Sometimes rebooting the router fixes the connection, sometimes I have to wait 20 minutes.

Sometimes I have no connection at all, and other times none of the http sites work and yet the newsgroups are still connected and downloading at 500 k/second.

I thought it was dns problems. But nslookup works just fine (say yahoo.com), so does ping, but when I try to browse to yahoo, the site either doesn't load or takes 5 minutes to load and the page is all messed up with no images.

The ISP techs don't say anything useful. They say my profile is fine. And I can't complain about speed because newsgroups do work at full speed. I don't have speed issues there.

I'm running Tomato MLPP, Speedstream 516 modem, Windows 7 OS. Anyone have similar issues? Is it my hardware crapping out? Tomato? Windows 7? Velcom? Bell? I'm just out of ideas how I can debug this.
