OMG OMG!! Really? You're afraid, someone's gonna break in and rob you? This is the downside for a large population... some **** is more likely to happen here than somewhere with a much smaller population; say Kitchiner.

Durham Home Invasion by 5 Men - Woman, 8yr old & 14month old Tied up & Robbed
Wow! What is going on! This is why I would never live in Toronto! How can you rob a woman and their two children like this, a 14 month old, omg!
I hope these guys get caught and put away for ever!

Durham Region police are looking for as many as five men after a mother and her two children were blindfolded and bound while the suspects robbed their home.
Early yesterday morning, the suspects forced their way inside the house and encountered the woman's 8-year-old son. The boy, his mother and her 14-month-old baby were then forced to kneel in a corner of the basement with their hands tied and faces covered.
Police say the woman was threatened with death by two men, one possibly armed with a handgun, while the other suspects searched the home.
The robbers left with the mother's wedding band, credit cards, jewelry and a home computer.
The suspects are described as male, black and between 20 and 30 years of age.

Toronto?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
That happened in Durham - i.e. where the population isn't dense and you could light firecrackers in your living room without the neighbours hearing. Try doing that in Toronto.
Come to think of it, you could probably do that in Kitchener too

Brave men to have to tie up a woman and 2 children.
Is Thestar biased against blacks or do they just commit all the crime in Toronto?_______________

wtf? Its a messed up crime, but how the hell is ONE crime that DID NOT happen in Toronto make Toronto a dangerous city despite actual evidence clearly stating that it isn't?
Durham is 173 KM from the base of Yonge Street in Toronto; Kitchener (where the OP is from) is 106KM away. So I'm a bit confused here...

Firstly, giving the race of the culprits narrows down their search a whole lot more.
Secondly, journalists try to appeal to as many readers as they can. e.g. During the whole Katrina accident, one newspaper printed "Black man looting" while another showed a white cop 'gathering' supplies. I saw both of these on the internet so I don't know how true they are but the general idea should be clear.

Durham region especial Oshawa/Bowmanville are filled with people and crimes like this. Durham makes Jane Finch look like joke atleast to me. I grew up in these areas and hate them with passion just for these reasons and incase you didn't know Durham is home to huge chapter of the Hells Angels.
